The passenger-side front footwell wins because it checks every box: it's shaded, it sits low where the cab air stays coolest, and I can reach it from the driver's seat without unbuckling. A note on door pockets and consoles: a quad-trumpet horn is taller than people expect once the trumpet stack and the battery are on it. Heat: The Numbers That Changed My Habits

Battery On or Off? How I Actually Carry It
Clicked in or clicked off — people argue about this more than it deserves. My rule: battery off whenever the horn is stored in the cab. Two reasons. - Seat-back organizer. A MOLLE panel or heavy seat-back pouch on the front passenger seat holds the horn upright, secured, and reachable from the driver's seat.
- Cargo net over the rear footwell. Cheap, takes one minute, and keeps the horn plus your recovery gear in place.
